Tyson Fury faced £58m payout if he ignored Deontay Wilder demands to fight Anthony Joshua | Boxing | Sport

Joshua, meanwhile, is set to take on Oleksandr Usyk next weekend at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Fury and Joshua have already agreed on a two-fight deal and, if both men win their bouts this autumn, the first of the eagerly-anticipated clashes between the two could go ahead in 2022.

But Sky Sports boxing analyst Johnny Nelson doesn’t believe a fight between Fury and Joshua will ever go ahead.

“Hindsight is a great thing,” Nelson said. “And you look, when that fight was spoken about and almost done, the only person that didn’t talk – and this is the lesson that I learnt – was Anthony Joshua.

“You didn’t see Anthony Joshua come out and say ‘yes this fight is done.’ Not one word.
