Italy international Marco Verratti was left on the PSG bench against Inter and it’s reported Al-Ahli are ready to rival Al-Hilal for his signature.
The midfielder is seemingly on his way out after a decade at the Parc des Princes, having agreed personal terms with Al-Hilal some weeks ago.
However, they have not gone above a transfer fee of €30m and Paris Saint-Germain want considerably more than that.
According to L’Equipe, that has opened up a potentially different transfer that would still see Verratti heading to the Saudi Pro League.
There has also been interest from Al-Ahli, who would offer similar personal terms and perhaps raise the bid to PSG in order to get the deal done.
Verratti turns 31 in November and only recently signed a contract extension in Paris to June 2026.
He first joined them from Pescara in the summer of 2012, before ever making a single Serie A appearance.
The midfielder has 55 senior caps for Italy.
