Derby County have been docked a further nine points by the EFL – effectively consigning them to League One next season.
The EFL today confirmed that the club has received a nine-point sporting sanction with a further three points suspended after admitting to breaches of the League’s Profitability and Sustainability (P&S) rules.
It takes the total Derby have been docked to this season to a whopping 21 points. It leaves Wayne Rooney’s side rock bottom of the Championship on minus-three points – 18 from safety.
