NBA: Harden makes MVP case

If there’s one thing that James Harden doesn’t lack, it’s self confidence.

He is enjoying a fine start to life at the Brooklyn Nets, helping his team reach the top of the Eastern Conference, and Harden feels he is on course to be named the best player in the NBA.

I feel like I am the MVP. It’s just that simple,” he said after the Nets’ latest win over the Detroit Pistons.
“Numbers are showing it for itself, and we’re winning. That’s all I can say.”

In the 113-111 win, Harden scored 42 points, making his case hard to debate.

With the Nets, Harden is averaging 25.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 11.5 assists.

When LeBron James won the MVP in 2018, he led the league in terms of points with 30.4 per game.
