Ademola Lookman made his 60th Premier League appearance Thursday evening in his club, Fulham’s 1-0 loss to visiting Tottenham at Craven Cottage.
The former England U-21 star who has expressed interest in switching international allegiance to Nigeria made his Premier League debut as a supersub for Everton in January 2017,scoring the fourth goal in a 4-0 demolition of Manchester City at Goodison Park.
Since then he has made 59 more appearances, starting just 29 of the games while he was subbed on 31 times.
The Nigerian made 36 of the 60 appearances for Everton. It is however at his present club, Fulham, which he joined on loan from German Bundesliga side, RB Leipzig that he has been most prolific, scoring four of his five Premier League goals in 24 appearances for Scott Parker side with three of his five assists also coming this season as a Cottager.
Thursday evening’s game was also his first ever against Tottenham at senior level albeit he scored twice in two appearances at the U-21 level.
Three other Nigerians also featured in Thursday evening’s game with defenders Ola Aina and Tosin Adarabioyo making their 23rd start each in 23 appearances respectively so far this term with the latter’s own goal separating the two sides after 90 minutes of football.
Forward Josh Maja was also in the starting line up,his fifth in six appearances since he joined on loan from Ligue 1 side Bordeaux last month.
