England legend, Alan Shearer, has sung the praises of Fulham winger Ademola Lookman following his impressive performance against Liverpool at the weekend.
Lookman helped the Cottagers to a memorable win at Anfield while ensuring Jurgen Klopp’s miserable run continues.
The former Charlton winger has looked a real threat ever since signing for Fulham and in recent times, has really started to show why he was so highly-rated as a teenager.
And Shearer, selecting his latest batch of players for his PremierLeague.com Team of the Week, believes Lookman exploited Liverpool youngster Neco Williams throughout the fixture.
“Neco Williams just couldn’t handle him. He exploited the space in behind time and again,” Shearer commented.
Mario Lemina was the one who got the winning goal for Fulham. The midfielder also god the nod from Shearer, who also selected two more Fulham stars in Joachim Anderson and Alphonse Areola.
Lookman has had a real impact for Fulham this season. Even when results were terrible, he was one of the bright and shining lights for Scott Parker’s squad.
A move to one of the bigger clubs in the Premier League could well beckon for Lookman. Obviously, he is enjoying his time with Fulham but his goal will have always been to impress and see what happens.
Further, RB Leipzig might even fancy giving him a chance next season. After all, he is still only 23.
The Nigerian has featured 25 times for the Cottagers so far this term, scoring four times and has provided three assists.
Lookman will be looking to continue in his impressive run of form when Fulham host Manchester City this Sunday. He was in the team that lost 2-0 at the Etihad stadium when both teams met in the first game last December.
