Spanish Segunda Division club Almeria have insisted on the 25 million Euros price tag placed on in-form Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq.
Russia Premier League side Krasnodar offered 15 million Euros for the prolific forward but it did not meet Almeria’s valuation of their prized Nigerian asset who shone like a million stars in the Spanish second tier last season.
Sadiq was in superb form last season scoring 20 times and seven assists in 38 games for Almeria which has not gone unnoticed by top clubs across Europe who are now jostling to land the 24-year old forward.
With Almeria failing to secure promotion to the LaLiga, Sadiq is looking to move into the topflight next season and a move to Russia looks appealing to the Eagles star considering the mouth-watering offer by Krasnodar as well as the prospect of playing in the Europa League.
Krasnodar are offering a tempting salary of €1.8m net to lure Sadiq away in addition to guaranteeing him an important position in the team who narrowly missed out of Champions League spot due to goals difference last season.
In addition, the Russian club has promised Sadiq a certain guarantee in the form of a contract of at least three years.
While Sadiq and Krasnodar appear to have practically reached an understanding, Almeria on the other hand are not ready to bulge from their asking price of €25m.
Krasnodar are expected to up their offer to €20m in the coming days which could tempt Almeria into eventually selling the Nigerian forward.
