Everton boss, Carlo Ancelotti says Alex Iwobi will be available for selection when the Toffees host relegation-haunted Skybet Championship side, Rotherham United at the Goodison Park next weekend.
Iwobi was absent on New Year day when Everton lost 1-0 to visiting West Ham United and Ancelotti revealed the Nigerian had a ‘little problem’ that made him unavailable for selection in what would have been his 140th Premier League game since October 31, 2015, when he made his debut in the competition.
”Iwobi will be available for the next game in the FA Cup,’revealed Ancelotti after the West Ham United game.
“It was fatigue and nothing more.Iwobi will be ok in the next few days.”.
Iwobi will be aiming to make his 10th start in 12 FA Cup games and score his second goal in the competition just a little over a year after he scored his first of the competition in Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat of League One side,Blackpool.
The Nigerian scored the Gunners’ third goal in the match played at Bloomfield Road. He will also be seeking to add to the three assists he has provided so far in the competition.
