It’s been a tale of two separate extremes for Nigerian duo of Rangers stars, Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun as regards their latest market value.
Super Eagles new midfield sensation, Aribo witnessed a rapid surge in his market value while that of centre-back Balogun plummeted considerably.
Aribo’s market value had previously stagnated at €1.00m for most part of last year but has increased to €3.50m in the latest valuation by transfer market on January 18, 2021.
The 24-year old’s value rose sharply by as much as €2.50m which is about 250%.
Aribo who is into his second season at Rangers has been in splendid form for Scottish Premiership giants having bagged four goals and two assists in 16 league games this season.
It was however, a case of contrasting fortunes for Aribo’s compatriot, Balogun whose market value took a massive 60% plunge down from €2.00m to €800Th.
Balogun’s market value which once peaked at €2.00m between July 2016 and June 2019 initially dropped to €1.50m by December 2019, then to €1.00m by February last year and finally to €800Th. as at January 18, 2021.
The 32-year old defender has made 14 Premiership appearances for Rangers in the ongoing season since arriving from English Ligue One side, Wigan Athletic.
