Arsenal ‘reach David Raya agreement’ as Brentford sent transfer message by goalkeeper | Football | Sport

Arsenal have supposedly agreed personal terms with goalkeeper David Raya, it has been claimed. The Spanish shot-stopper has reportedly told Brentford that he wants to join the Gunners this summer, with talks set to commence over the ‘formula’ of the transfer fee.

The north Londoners have sparked a shock pursuit of the 27-year-old over the last few days. Aaron Ramsdale has been viewed as Mikel Arteta’s No 1 goalkeeper for the last two seasons but could be set for some strong competition for his place.

Arteta is supposedly keen to upgrade his goalkeeping department with the addition of a quality second-choice star. Matt Turner played second fiddle to Ramsdale last term but has been linked with an exit from the Emirates Stadium.
