Galatasaray have reported to Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that they are in talks for the temporary transfer of Nigerian footballer Hnery Onyekuru who plays for Monaco.
‘Official negotiations have been signed with the footballer and his club AS Monaco Football Club regarding the temporary transfer of professional footballer Henry Chukwuemeka Onyekuru to our club’, the Yellow-and-Reds said in a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).
Public Disclosure Platform is an electronic system on which the notifications required to be disclosed to the public are conveyed with an electronic signature and announced to the public in accordance with the capital market and exchange legislations, have been implemented jointly by the Capital Markets Board (CMB) and Borsa Ä°stanbul and the platform is now being operated by Central Securities Depository (MKK).
The Nigerian international was signed by Everton a few seasons ago and enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Anderlecht. Consistently linked with a number of British clubs, Onyekuru defied the rumours by joining Galatasaray on loan in 2018/19, where he scored 14 goals in 31 games, before joining Monaco.
The player has scarcely featured in the Ligue 1 and rejoined Galatasaray on a loan deal again in 2019. Now Onyekuru is set for a third loan spell with the club in Turkey, but this time they will have the opportunity to make the deal permanent in the summer.
