Iheanacho – Leicester City’s FA Cup hero against Brighton, Kelechi Iheanacho will hope for some minutes of action after he was named among the substitutes for today’s Premier League clash against Liverpool at the King Power stadium.
Iheanacho has featured six times against the reigning Premier League champions, starting all from the bench.
The Nigerian is also yet to score against Jurgen Klopp’s side and will be hoping to get on the score sheet again after opening his account in the Foxes’ 2-0 defeat of Fulham at Craven Cottage at the start of the month.
He has lost five of the six games he has played against the visitors and drawn once.
The 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup winner has now been named as a substitute 149 times in 183 Premier League matches. While he managed to get subbed on in 85 of the games including the six against Liverpool, he has been an unused substitute 54 times including once against the Reds.
If he eventually features at any point today, it will be his 130 Premier League games, starting 44 and getting subbed on 86 times.
Iheanacho featured in 46 games for Manchester City in the competition, scoring 12 times and provided five assists while for Leicester City, he has featured 83 times for the Foxes, scoring 10 times and has provided 11 assists.
