Taiwo Awoniyi and his Union Berlin team-mates will have their eyes fixed on moving into the German Bundesliga top-four when they face RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig tonight.
Awoniyi did start Friday’s encounter which saw Union carve out a 1–0 victory against Bayer Leverkusen at the Alte Foersterei, the 50th Bundesliga appearance in the history of his club.
The Liverpool loanee was substituted in the 76th minute and replaced by Marius Bulter who was tasked with running the clock down as Leverkusen’s time in possession kept on increasing.
Awoniyi has now found the back of the net on five occasions and weighed in with one other assist in 14 Bundesliga games for Union so far and his pace will be much-needed versus Leipzig.
