Nigerian international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi dealt Leicester City a big injury blow when he limped out of their match week 20 Premier League tie against Everton at Goodison Park.
Ndidi who made his 10th League start in 11 games so far this term was replaced on 42 minutes by Nampalys Mendy after the Nigerian couldn’t cope again on the pitch.
This would be the second time this season the former RC Genk of Belgium star will be injured this term. The Super Eagle was out for almost two months at the start of the season after tearing his abductor muscle following the 4-2 defeat of Burnley in a Premier League tie at the King Power Stadium at the end of September.
It is not yet clear the nature of Ndidi’s injury but gaffer, Brendan Rodgers will hope it is not something that will keep his prized asset out for too long as the season gets to the business end.
Ndidi’s Nigerian compatriot at the club, Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute for the 10th time this season and 53rd time since August 2015 when he made his Premier League debut.
