Britain’s new No 1 Cameron Norrie opens up on Andy Murray regret | Tennis | Sport

“Maybe we could have used him in the doubles. I think he would have a good matchup with Joe. But, no, that’s absolutely fine. It’s his decision and understandable.”

Norrie, who was raised in New Zealand but moved to the UK when he was 16 and later switched to represent Britain, also shared his excitement over being selected for the Davis Cup team for the first time in his career.

He added: “Yeah, I think, I mean, I’m definitely going to be playing, and I’m looking forward to representing GB again and playing in the Davis Cup.

“I wasn’t selected last time, so it will be nice to get the call up and I think we have a great team, a lot of informed players.”
