‘Clown’ KD ejected for stray elbow; LaMelo lights up Blazers as Dame stays ice cold

‘Clown’ KD ejected for stray elbow – During his team’s 117-91 victory over the Detroit Pistons, Kevin Durant was ejected.

After forcefully fighting through a Kelly Olynyk screen in which he raised his elbow, the star forward was sent off with a flagrant two penalty in the third quarter.

Durant finished with 23 points on 10-of-13 shooting and five assists in the home game.

Unfortunately, it had no bearing on the outcome, as the Nets dominated for their first three wins of the season, improving to 4-3.

James Harden had likely his greatest game of the season, scoring 18 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out 12 assists.

Corey Joseph’s 13 points off the bench led the Pistons in a game they’ll be delighted to forget, as they shot 40% from the field compared to Brooklyn’s 65%, including 52% from downtown.

Due to injury management, the Pistons were without No. 1 overall selection Cade Cunningham a day after he made his debut.

LaMelo lights up Blazers as Dame stays ice cold:

LaMelo Ball led his team’s 125-113 win over the Portland Trail Blazers with 27 points, four triples, nine rebounds, seven assists and one steal.

One of the big improvers of the season, the Hornets improved to 5-2, while the Blazers slid to 3-3.

And Damian Lillard’s shooting struggles continued — converting just 5-of-20 of his shots including 2-of-14 from distance for 14 points, adding 11 assists.

Lillard has shot the ball at a career-worst clip from both the field (37 per cent) and three-point range this season (26 per cent).

Elsewhere, Kelly Oubre Jr came up big for Charlotte, tallying 26 points with six triples off the bench plus six rebounds, five assists and two steals.

Terry Rozier returned from an ankle injury in just second game of the season, scoring 14 points with four threes.

CJ McCollum led the Blazers with 25 points and eight assists to continue his impressive start to the season, while Jusuf Nurkic had 13 points, 14 boards, two steals and one block.
