Cristiano Ronaldo ‘agrees personal terms’ with Man City with one step left to complete | Football | Sport

Cristiano Ronaldo’s reported move to Manchester City has sped up exponentially over the last 24 hours – with certain reports now claiming that the Portuguese superstar has agreed personal terms with Pep Guardiola’s men.

A move for Ronaldo was rumoured after the Citizens’ £128million bid for Harry Kane was turned down, with Spurs chief Daniel Levy wanting a guaranteed £150m – and after strong links  with the ex-United man, Spanish outlet AS have claimed that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has agreed to move to City in a striker role under Pep Guardiola.

The outlet claims that Ronaldo has agreed terms, and all that is left is for the clubs to agree terms – with the Turin-based outfit demaning £28m for his services.

Having paid £88m for the Portugal international just three years ago, it appears that Juventus are desperate more than anything to get him off the wage bill – especially after he surprisingly didn’t start against Udinese last Sunday.

Whether City stump up that fee will most likely run right down to the transfer deadline on Tuesday evening, although there are promising signs that City will indeed sign a striker this summer.
