Borussia Dortmund legend Matthias Sammer has insisted that Chelsea and Manchester City target Erling Haaland should value what BVB have done for him before deciding to leave the club.
The 20-year-old is the most sought after young striker in world football at the moment after scoring 33 times in 31 appearances for Dortmund this season.
His departure from Dortmund is likely to be inevitable at the end of next season when a €75m buy-out clause will come into effect in his contract.
But there are suggestions that he could leave this summer, especially if Dortmund fail to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Chelsea and Manchester United have identified him as their top target and he is one of the names Manchester City are also considering.
However, Sammer feels Haaland should consider what Dortmund have done for his career before he makes any decision on his future this summer or next year.
The Dortmund legend told German magazine Sport Bild: “[I would] also advise Erling to see the value of Borussia Dortmund regardless of the high contract offers.
“The club have given him a lot.
“For Erling, only a handful of clubs come into question as the next step.”
Haaland was visibly frustrated last Saturday after Dortmund dropped points against Koln despite him scoring twice in a 2-2 draw.
