Michael Zorc has sent a warning to Real Madrid that Erling Haaland won’t be easy to lure away from Borussia Dortmund.
The Norwegian has developed from being a promising forward into a world star in 12 months at Dortmund and has been linked with a move to just about all of Europe’s elite sides in recent months.
“If he decides to leave one day, it will only be for a few teams,” Zorc told Die Welt. “But we’ll try to keep him for as long as we can.
“I’ve never seen anyone like him.”
Barcelona have also been linked with a move for the forward, though Haaland and those around him have appeared happy to stay in Germany for another while at least.
For now, Dortmund’s focus is on achieving Champions League qualification again for next season.
“We don’t want to play in the Europa League,” Zorc said. “We don’t want to have to hand over our Champions League business card.”
