Raducanu, who crashed out of Indian Wells in the second round on her return to action last week, took to Twitter to respond to the news.
“Wow, I’m honoured!” she wrote. “Huge congratulations to you. Wish you all the best.”
Another parent followed suit and revealed she had also named her newborn after the Bromley tennis superstar.
Tennis coach Julie Searle wrote: “Snap! We named our daughter after @EmmaRaducanu too.
