Eric Garcia will join Barçelona as a free agent, according to top Italian sports journalist and transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano on his ‘here we go’ platform on Twitter.
The move will not happen now in January but in June 2021 when the Catalan’s contract with Manchester City is set to expire. Barca have apparently signed a pre-agreement with Garcia for the next five seasons.
Man City boss, Pep Guardiola had earlier said about the chance of the youngster leaving this month: “I hope not but maybe Barcelona knows better than me. I don’t know what’s going to happen but maybe it’s going to happen.”
But it has now been confirmed that the 20-year-old defender will join Barçelona as a free agent.
