Inter Milan have reportedly become the latest European side to pull the plug on their commitments to the much-maligned Super League.
The Premier League’s Big Six, Manchester City, United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur all withdrew from the European Super League.
And that was amid widespread revolt from fans after news emerged just 48 hours earlier that they were six of the 12 founding members.
And according to reports in Asia and Italy, Inter whose president is Steven Zhang have now said goodbye to the ill-fated European venture following protests across Europe.
The project, according to ANSA and Corriere dello Sport is no longer of interest to the Serie A leaders who joined up for the proposals alongside fellow Italian clubs, AC Milan and Juventus.
Inter Milan are the first Italian club, and seventh overall, to officially leave the Super League just 48 hours after the plans came to fruition.
Inter president, Zhang joined up to the Super League in the bid to solve the economic problems plaguing the club currently.
