Alex Iwobi will be desperate for an Everton win tonight and his 70th in the competition when the Toffees face Southampton at Goodison Park in a match week 26 tie in the Premier League.
The Nigeria international midfielder has won 69 times in 146 appearances since he first recorded his first victory on his debut in the competition in October 2015, coming on as an 89th minute substitute for Mesut Ozil as Arsenal ran away 3-0 winners at the Liberty stadium against Swansea City.
Iwobi won 19 of his 69 Premier League victories for Everton after switching from the Emirates stadium where he won 50 in 100 appearances in the summer of 2019.
The Super Eagle will also be seeking to help actualise his 70th Premier League win with at least a goal which will be his second goal of the 2020/21 campaign. It will also be his first in 10 games in all competitions against the Saints.
Iwobi has featured eight times against Southampton in the Premier League ,winning four, drawing one and has lost three times with two of the defeats coming during his time at the Emirates.
The Nigerian has scored 13 times so far in 146 Premier League games with 11 of the goals scored while with Arsenal (in 100 games) with two coming in the colours of Everton in 46 appearances.
Iwobi has also provided 18 assists and has had 68 shots on target from 167 taken and has a 41% shooting accuracy.
