Super Eagles prospect, Eberechi Eze will be gunning for his first ever FA Cup goal when he files out with Crystal Palace in a League Cup cracker against Wolves at the Molineux Stadium tonight.
Eze who has been in superlative form in his first season in the English Premier League is yet to score in any Cup game in England be it the FA Cup, League Cup or EFL Trophy in 11 appearances from his Championship days with QPR and Wycombe Wanderers.
Tonight’s tie against Wolves will be Eze’s first FA Cup outing with Palace having made one League Cup appearance since joining the Eagles in the summer.
The 22-year old with two Premier League goals and two assists to his credit in 15 appearances had also been prolific while featuring in the Championship with QPR recording 20 goals and 13 assists in 104 appearances across three seasons as well as five goals in 20 League Two appearances for Wycombe Wanderers at the start of his career in 2017.
However, Eze’s Palace face a difficult prospect against Wolves in what will be their third consecutive visit to the Molineaux of recent. The previous two visits ended in 2-0 defeats for Palace on July 20 and October 30 last year with Eze featuring as a second half substitute in only the latter fixture.
