F1 LIVE: Daniel Ricciardo crashed on purpose as ‘tiny details’ delay Lewis Hamilton deal | F1 | Sport

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has explained the reasons behind Lewis Hamilton’s delayed new contract, insisting he is not concerned about the hold up as there are only a few ‘tiny details’ to iron out.

The 38-year-old will be free to leave the team at the end of the season when his deal expires, but the Silver Arrows boss says there are only small issues left to resolve.

“No, it’s just tiny details like marketing stuff. Nothing I’m worried about,” Wolff said to Sky Sport Italia, when asked about the delay.

Hamilton also moved to calm fears that he could leave, indicating that he and Wolff are on the same wavelength in negotiations.

“I don’t think there is particularly stress between us,” he told Sky Sports F1. “We trust each other. We have the same goals, and we know that we can do that together.”
