The Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round takes place this week as the final 16 teams compete for a spot in the last eight as the competition takes a step closer to that Wembley final.

Last year’s winners, Leicester City, are already out of the competition having lost to Nottingham Forest in the Fourth Round, but Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur all remain in the hunt to win English football’s most prestigious cup competition.

Arsenal and Manchester United are also out of the competition having suffered early exits in the Third and Fourth Rounds, respectively, meaning a number of clubs outside the top six have a good chance of going far in the tournament.

And there are also a number of Championship clubs still fighting and looking to make history, while there is even one non-league club left in what has already been a tournament full of plenty of surprises.

Here is all you need to know about the ball numbers ahead of Thursday’s draw for the FA Cup quarter-finals, as well as the important information about the Fifth Round taking place this week.

Who’s involved in the Fifth Round

Six Championship clubs have also made it into the Last 16 of the tournament, as Peterborough United, Stoke City, Middlesbrough and Luton Town have been rewarded with Premier League ties, leaving Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town to battle it out with each other for a place in the last eight.

There are no remaining teams from League 1 and League 2, but Boreham Wood have reached the furthest stage of the competition in their history to represent the only side from the National League.
