Dele Alli
Alli’s startling decline has been almost painful to watch over the past couple of years.
It wasn’t that long ago that Alli was one of the jewels in Tottenham’s crown under Mauricio Pochettino, but a gradual loss of form has led to Alli now finding himself on the periphery in north London.
Although Alli may be encouraged by a change in management, there are no guarantees that Conte will be interested in coaxing that previous form out of the MK Dons academy graduate.
It’s getting harder and harder to see a way back for Alli at Spurs – even with a change in management.
Davinson Sanchez
Despite Conte preferring a tactical setup that allows three central defenders, his arrival isn’t necessarily good news for Sanchez.
The Colombian defender has struggled to properly convince during his time at Spurs and he may not get the chance to convince Conte that he can kick on under his management.
Reports have already outlined that Conte has insisted on a new defender in January, which doesn’t exactly suggest he has the utmost faith in the players already at the club.
And it’s Sanchez who seems most likely to be sacrificed to make room for a new recruit in the Spurs rearguard.
