Sportsmail revealed last week that Mitchell and his club colleague Marc Guehi were in line for their first-call-ups and the pair join fellow Palace star Conor Gallagher in the senior squad.
Walker-Peters, a 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup winner, has amassed caps from U18 through to U21 level – but Mitchell’s selection is his first for England at any level.
England host Switzerland on Saturday (5.30pm kick-off) for an Alzheimer’s Society International before welcoming Ivory Coast next Tuesday.
