The final details have been resolved with Chelsea, so Olivier Giroud will fly in on Thursday and sign for Milan on Friday.
Multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia, MilanNews, Tuttomercatoweb and RMC Sport report this afternoon that the deal has been done at long last.
Chelsea will receive €1m for the veteran France international, plus up to €1m in performance-related bonuses and add-ons.
Giroud is expected to be in Italy on Thursday, complete the medical tests on Friday and sign the two-year contract.
He had already agreed personal terms months ago, but Chelsea activated a unilateral clause to extend the contract that had been due to expire on June 30.
Giroud is drafted in as an alternative to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and will play with the Rossoneri in both Serie A and the Champions League this season.
The 34-year-old joined Chelsea from Arsenal in January 2018 and scored 39 goals in 119 appearances with the Blues.
