Harry Kane is set to snub Bayern Munich as reports claim he has a ‘much better offer’ from another club. The striker is set to see out his contract at Tottenham before leaving on a free transfer next summer.
Bayern have been attempting to sign Kane for most of the summer. They had several bids rejected before finally agreeing a fee on Thursday.
The German side were set to pay an initial £86million, with the deal rising to £100m with add-ons. However, it appears Kane is not convinced about the move.
Sky Sports News claimed on Thursday afternoon that the 30-year-old was increasingly likely to stay at Tottenham. And now there has been a fresh development on why that may be.
German outlet Bild says an unnamed club have emerged late on with interest in Kane. It is claimed that they have proposed a ‘much better offer’ to the striker than Bayern were set to give him.
Kane will be available on a free transfer if he does not sign a new Spurs contract. Therefore, any interested club won’t have to pay a transfer fee and can give more money to Kane in terms of wages and a signing-on bonus.
Bild does not name who the interested club is. However, it is reported that Chelsea or Manchester United should not be ruled out.
Paris Saint-Germain will also be in the market for a striker next summer. They are set to lose Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer, with his contract expiring at the same time as Kane.
