Odion Ighalo has hailed Al Shabab’s win over Al Ahli in the Saudi Arabian Professional League, a game which also saw the former Super Eagles striker make a great assist.
Ighalo was in action in Al Shabab’s 3-0 thrashing of league leaders, Al Ahli and made a lovely assist, helping Cristian Guanca for the third goal on the stroke of 90 minutes.
The 31-year-old who did not start the game but was named on the substitutes’ bench was thrown into the frey by coach Carlos Inarejos in the 79th minute for Hussain Al-Monassar.
Ighalo did not waste anytime in showing what stuff he is made of as it took the former Nigerian international only eleven minutes to come up with an out-rightly incredible assist.
Ahmed Mohammed Sharahili opened the scoring for Al-Shabab in the twelfth minute assisted by Ever Banega who also created the second goal for Alfred N’Diaye in the 79th minute.
The last goal of the game was scored by Guanca in the 90th minute off Ighalo’s assist after which the Nigerian striker then took to his Instagram page where he posted: “+3 points.”
Since joining the club during the winter transfer window in January, Ighalo has now been involved in three matches, scoring one goal for Al Shabab and weighing in with one other assist.
