…Ahead of Al Shabab’s pre-season
Odion Ighalo on Sunday travelled back to his base in Saudi Arabia ahead of his club-side, Al Shabab FC’s pre-season for the up-coming 2021/22 campaign.
Ighalo joined Al Shabab during January’s winter transfer window on a permanent deal following the expiration of his loan contract at Manchester United.
The Nigerian forward found the back of the net twice in Al Shabab’s last game of the season, having been in blistering form since his arrival at the club.
His side finished the season second on 57 points, four behind league winners, Al Hilal but Ighalo scored nine goals and provided three assists in 13 games.
The retired Nigerian international thereafter embarked on vacation, goin on a boat cruise with his mother before coming back to Lagos for his holidays.
Ighalo posted an emotional video on Instagram where his mom said she would miss him “Mama no want make I leave U.A.R but I need to go hustle, I miss my Queen.”
