Iheanacho, Ndidi begin pre-season training with Leicester
Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi are both back for pre-season training at Leicester City.
The Nigerians were among a good portion of the Foxes squad who arrived back from their summer breaks ready for work at Seagrave – the club starting their first full season at the new £100m headquarters – with fewer than five weeks to go until their Premier League opener against Wolves at the King Power Stadium.
The two Super Eagles stars were instrumental to the club winning a historic FA Cup title last season with Iheanacho scoring six times including a brace in the 3-1 defeat of Manchester United in the quarterfinal and the winner in the semifinal game against Southampton.
The former Manchester City striker also played a huge role in steering the Foxes to a fifth place finish in the Premier League with his goals. He scored 11 goals in his final 12 games to bring his total haul for the season to 12 in 25 games.
The 24 year old who joined Leicester City in the summer of 2017 on a five year deal from Manchester City was voted the Premier League player of the month of March and will be looking forward to taking off in the new season where he left off last term.
Ndidi on his part was also pivotal to the Foxes’ march to FA Cup glory, playing in all six games. He was also a big part of the Leicester team that finished fifth in the Premier League, featuring 26 times. He scored once and bagged four assists.
