Iheanacho Seeks First Goal In Five Games Vs Newcastle

Red-hot Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho will be confident of scoring his 10th Premier League goal in nine consecutive games when the Foxes host relegated haunted Newcastle United this evening at the King Power stadium.

The Nigerian, nominated for April’s Premier League Player and Goal of the month has been in scintillating form since February when he scored his first goal of the competition in his club’s 2-0 defeat of Fulham at Craven Cottage.

This evening, Iheanacho will also be seeking his first goal against the Magpies in five matches.

The Nigerian was an unused substitute when the two sides met at Saint James’ Park with the visitors running away with the maximum points in a 2-1 win in January.
Iheanacho has scored 10 times in 21 appearances in the competition so far this term to become the seventh Nigerian to hit double figures in a Premier League season.

The 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup winner is enjoying his best season in front of goal since he made his debut in the league in August 2015. Iheanacho is also making his record extending 12th consecutive start in the competition.
