Iheanacho set for 50th EPL start, 2nd Goal Vs West Ham

Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho will be gunning for his 50th start in 135 Premier League games when Leicester City visit the London stadium Sunday afternoon in a matchweek 32 fixture.

Iheanacho will also be seeing his second goal against the Hammers in nine appearances after scoring in the Foxes’ 2-1 win at the London stadium in December 2019,netting Leicester City’s first goal of the game.

The Nigerian also bagged two assists in the reverse fixture in January 2020,assisting former Newcastle forward, Ayoze Perez with his brace on 81 and 88 minutes in the Foxes’ 4-1 win at the King Power stadium.

The former Manchester City man who has featured 118 times in the Premier League for Leicester City will also be eyeing his first sixth consecutive start in a row since he made his debut in the competition in August 2015.

Iheanacho has scored six times in 17 appearances so far this term and a goal this afternoon will make him the sixth joint top scorer with former Super Eagles forward Obafemi Martins with eight goals.

Meanwhile, Wilfred Ndidi will also be seeking to make his 134th start in 139 appearances for the Foxes.

Ndidi will also want to add to his lone strike against their host after scoring once to rescue a point for the Foxes in the 1-1 draw at the London stadium in October 2018.
