Uche Ikpeazu has expressed his readiness to score a lot of goals for Middlesbrough in the 2021/22 season after finding the back of the net in his first ever game for his new club.
Ikpeazu did not waste anytime at all in introducing himself to Middlesbrough fans as the new recruit from Wycombe Wanderers netted a goal to help Boro destroy Bishop Auckland 3-0.
Middlesbrough’s preparations for the new season all started with a trip to Heritage Park as Neil Warnock’s side met Bishop Auckland in the first pre-season friendly of the summer.
It took just eight minutes for Ikpeazu to open his Boro account and he will surely struggle to score a better goal this season for his opener was something really special to behold.
There looked little danger for the hosts when the striker collected the ball with his back to goal 25 yards out and what followed was quite something for all Boro faithful to relish.
He shrugged off his marker with ease before picking out the top corner with a stunner that went in off the bar. It was a brilliant show of strength followed by an outstanding finish.
A very promising start for Ikpeazu and the Nigerian-Ugandan ace took to the social media to express his delight, writing on Instagram: “First pre-season game, 45 minutes in the tank.”
