Former Nigerian international Victor Ikpeba has charged Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru to make the best of his recent move to Turkish Super Lig side, Galatasaray.
Onyekuru who had struggled since moving to Monaco last season opened his third loan deal to Galatasaray with a brace in the 2-1 win against Gaziantep at the weekend with Ikpeba calling on the player to keep up his good form.
“I think Onyekuru is more happy at Galatasaray and he needs to make the best of his return to the club,” begins the Ikpeba known as the ‘Prince of Monaco’ for his exploits at the French Ligue 1 side in his playing days.
“He has started well by scoring two goals on his return which is good for his confidence. He must not relent because Galatasaray has given him a sort of lifeline and he must work hard to sustain his current form.
“I’m a big fan of his and I was hoping he would be a big hit at Monaco like I did but it just didn’t work out for him.
“He is a very talented player. I’m happy for him because he seems to have found a home at Galatasaray and it would be good if he can secure a permanent deal at the end of the season,” concludes the former African Footballer of the Year.
