Super Eagles and Hoffenheim defender Kelvin Akpoguma has declared himself fit from a Hamstring injury he suffered while featuring for the German side in a Bundesliga outing against Freiburg at the start of the year if report from his verified WhatsApp status is anything to go by.
The 25 year old star who featured for the German U-20 national team before switching allegiance to his father land revealed his fitness on his social media platform as he resumed full training with hsi club.
“Back on track,” he wrote gesticulating his strength with a social media emoji.
Apkoguma who was sidelined for 60 days and missed nine Bundesliga games and two Europa League matches will now be available for selection when Hoffenheim host Wolfsburg in Saturday’s week 24 league duel.
The Nigerian joined Hoffenheim in July 2013 and his contract will run until June 2024.He has featured 19 times for the ‘Village’ club so far this term:he started in 11 of the 13 Bundesliga games he featured in,bagging an assist.He also started in all four of the Europa League and tow of the German Cup matches he played,scoring once in the cup game where Hoffenheim were knocked out via penalties to Greuther Fürth.
