Inter have confirmed that Davide Frattesi has picked up a muscle strain and will be unavailable for the clash with Salernitana.
The 24-year-old Italian midfielder was the Nerazzurri’s statement signing of the summer, arriving from Sassuolo on a loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy clause attached, worth around €38m total.
Frattesi’s life with Inter has started slowly. The 24-year-old has only started once under Simone Inzaghi this campaign, seeing 215 minutes of action total across his seven appearances so far.
As announced today, Frattesi underwent a round of medical tests at the Istituto Humanitas in Rozzano today, which confirmed the presence of a muscle strain. He is suffering from a slight pain to the flexors of his right thigh.
The 24-year-old will undergo further tests in the coming days and will not take part in the upcoming game with Salernitana. He could also miss the Champions League clash with Benfica on October 3.
