Iwobi ruled out of Everton’s FA Cup tie …To return for Wednesday’s EPL match vs Leicester

Everton manager, Carlo Ancelotti has ruled Alex Iwobi out of the club’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Sheffield Wednesday billed to hold at Goodison Park on Sunday.

Ancelotti speaking at his pre-match presser on Friday confirmed this but expects Iwobi to be fit to return for Everton’s Premier League match against Leicester City on Wednesday.

“We have Dominic available for the game,” said Ancelotti who was speaking at USM Finch Farm. “Unfortunately, we have some players out like Gbamin, Allan, Delph, Digne, Iwobi and Nkounkou.

“Iwobi and Digne will be be unavailable for only this game but they will be available for the game against Leicester.” Iwobi featured in the EPL win over Wolves on January 12 without showing any sign of injury.

The Nigerian international has been delivering fine performances for the Goodison Park outfit since the start of the season, playing 19 games across all competitions with two goals and three assists to his name.
