Samuel Kalu is definitely out even as Bordeaux seek to recover from their latest setback when they do battle against Strasbourg in Sunday’s Ligue 1 clash which will hold at the Matmut Atlantique.
Kalu is one of the most skilful players in the Super Eagles and even at Bordeaux at this very moment and the attacker also shoots with boot feet. The winger is also good at dead ball situations.
His form has improved in recent times with the 23-year-old who has been a regular starter in the Bordeaux squad this season featuring in 18 league games, netting four goals and making one assist.
Kalu has, however, been injured since last month and that was precisely on March 15 during training. He is set to make a return from the thigh muscle strain on April 18 when Bordeaux face Monaco.
Meanwhile, Les Girondins were put to the sword by Montpellier HSC 3-1 last time out before the international break and would be looking to make a very fast recovery when they confront Strasbourg.
With a terrible record of one win, one draw and eight losses from their last ten matches across all competitions, Bordeaux are now closer to the bottom three than they are to the European places.
