Chelsea have reportedly entered the race for Lille‘s Jonathan David in 2024, with the striker set for a move away from France this year.
The 24-year-old has not been at his best in terms of goalscoring this campaign but is still a key player for Les Dogues, netting six times in 19 Ligue 1 appearances.
That being said, David made the net ripple on three occasions and provided three assists during Lille’s 12-0 thrashing of Golden Lion de Saint Joseph on January 6.
The Canadian was amongst the highest scorers in the French top flight last season, scoring 24 times in 37 top-flight appearances as his side finished fifth in the division.

Gallagher ‘new Chelsea deal remains unlikely’

Chelsea‘s owners reportedly remain against offering a new contract to Conor Gallagher.
After a inconsistent first campaign representing his boyhood club, speculation persisted throughout the summer that the academy graduate could be sold in order to boost the Blues’ FFP position.
Instead, the midfielder not only remained part of Mauricio Pochettino‘s first-team squad, but as a key player who has been handed the captain’s armband on numerous occasions.
Gallagher has made a total of 25 starts and three substitute outings in all competitions, being given the most game time of any outfield player.

Sint-Truiden defender Daiki Hashioka has reportedly arrived in London for a medical ahead of a move to Luton Town before the end of the January window.
The 24-year-old started his career at Urawa Red Diamonds in his homeland before switching to the Belgian Pro League in 2021, initially on a loan deal before making the move permanent six months later.
Hashioka has featured 91 times for Sint-Truiden over a three-year period, scoring two goals, with the club currently ninth in the Pro League standings.
The right-back was not selected for Japan’s Asian Cup squad in Qatar this month but has experience of playing for his country at senior level, earning seven caps since being handed his debut in December 2019.

Despite ending his long-term association with the Premier League giants back in the summer, De Gea remains without a new club.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Al Shabab have been able to begin negotiations with the Spain international in recent days.

PL clubs ‘learn asking price of Leicester’s Dewsbury-Hall’

Leicester City reportedly set an asking price for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall amid growing interest in the midfielder.
When the Foxes were relegated from the Premier League in May, the expectation was that they would cash in on academy graduate, who had established himself as a key man.
However, the 25-year-old was instead kept at the King Power Stadium and has gone on to contribute nine goals and nine assists from 27 appearances in the Championship.
Enzo Maresca‘s side are in a position where they are expected to secure promotion back to the top flight, the advantage to third-placed Southampton being eight points.
