    Spurs cool Edmond Tapsoba interest?

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly cooled their interest in Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba, with the German club demanding £50m for the player.

The 24-year-old featured in all but one of Leverkusen’s 34 Bundesliga matches last term – starting 32 of those – scoring the single goal as Xabi Alonso‘s men finished sixth.

Tapsoba has made 139 appearances for the BayArena club since switching from Primeira Liga outfit Vitoria de Guimaraes in January 2020, making the net ripple on six occasions from a centre-back role.

The right-footed defender is also a regular for his nation, having earned 20 caps for Burkina Faso since making his debut in the summer of 2017.

Man United interested in Wan-Bissaka, Semedo swap?

Manchester United would reportedly be willing to use Aaron Wan-Bissaka in a proposal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Nelson Semedo.

Earlier this week, Wolves announced that the right-back had signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at Molineux until 2025.

However, that decision was taken with Julen Lopetegui as head coach, the Spaniard having since left the club, and it has become increasingly apparent that Wolves have been required to take drastic measures to boost their position with FFP.

Semedo impressed in his club’s opening fixture of 2023, a 1-0 defeat at Man United, yet he is believed to be one of the big earners – if not top – at the West Midlands outfit.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been alerted to the availability of Al Ittihad winger Jota in the closing stages of this summer’s transfer window.

The Portuguese made the switch to the Saudi Pro League in July, becoming the club’s record signing at the time after moving from Scottish giants Celtic.

Jota helped the Hoops to easily take the Scottish Premiership title off arch rivals Rangers, scoring 11 goals and providing 11 assists in 33 league appearances.

The winger is yet to receive his maiden call-up for the Portugal senior side, however he has featured for his nation at both Under-20 and Under-21 level.

Chelsea ‘decide on conditions for Lukaku loan to Roma’

Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have reportedly reached a decision over their desirable loan conditions for Romelu Lukaku.

The Blues have been eager to part ways with Lukaku on a permanent basis this summer, preferably in a deal worth in excess of £35m.

However, suitable offers have not been forthcoming, Inter Milan withdrawing their interest and Juventus not being in a position where they can afford the Belgium international.

As a result, Boehly and Clearlake Capital have been required to soften their stance on the former £97.5m signing, aware that there is little desire on all sides regarding a reintegration into the first-team squad.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in the signing of Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie in the closing stages of this summer’s transfer window.

The 21-year-old played 30 Bundesliga matches for Xabi Alonso‘s men last term – starting 27 of those – scoring one goal and providing one assist from a centre-back role.

Hincapie represented his nation Ecuador at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, starting all three of his side’s group-stage matches against Qatar, Netherlands and Senegal.

Since joining from Argentinian outfit Talleres in the summer of 2021, the defender has made 76 appearances for German side, scoring three goals during his two years at the club.

West Ham United are reportedly on the verge of signing Mohamed Kudus from Ajax, having come to an agreement over a deal for the Ghana international.

The forward has been linked with a number of clubs during this summer’s transfer window, with Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea all believed to be keen.

However, West Ham have recently emerged as the favourites for his signature, and according to Sky Sports News, the Hammers have now agreed a deal with Ajax for his services.

The report claims that David Moyes‘s side will pay an initial £35.6m for Kudus, potentially with a further £2.6m in performance-related add-ons.
