Liverpool were robbed of a goal by VAR in Saturday’s trip to north London. VAR made a huge mistake by accidentally making the wrong decision on an offside call against Luis Diaz.
The PGMOL have apologised and released the audio from the VAR room upon request from Liverpool. But that is not enough for Klopp and he claims a replay is the only way to resolve the matter.
Jordan says Klopp dealt with the incident admirably in the immediate aftermath of the match at the weekend. However, he says he has ruined that with his latest outburst.
The former Crystal Palace chairman said on talkSPORT: “He needed to balance it up because he was brilliant after the game. He was controlled and thoughtful and recognised a mistake had been made, so he needed to balance that up because that was too much of a decent answer so he needed to come back with this ridiculous analysis.
“What happens with football people is they forget all the praise that you give to them but when you criticise them they remember it and don’t like that. If it’s put to him he’ll remind everyone how much he doesn’t like my opinions.
“I think he’s one of the best managers we’ve seen in English football in a very, very long time. I think he produces a wonderful football side, I think on the whole, the things he says are always sensible and balanced, and often real world, not just football world.
“The necessity for Jurgen to turn round after having a really good reaction on the game and turn it into something now, I don’t think is good form, I think it’s poor and smacks of a bit of a whiner.”
