Man Utd star Paul Pogba’s transfer talks with Kylian Mbappe | Football | Sport

Kylian Mbappe’s impending transfer to Real Madrid has been expedited this week after Paris-Saint Germain sporting director Leonardo confirmed the Frenchman’s intentions to move to the Spanish capital – something which Paul Pogba has backed the prodigy to do.

Mbappe, just 22, has already won almost everything there is to win in football – scoring 133 goals in 174 games for Les Parisiens, he has won three Ligue 1 titles, and of course, a World Cup for France.

Announcing himself as a superstar at the age of just 17 for Monaco, Mbappe is world-renowned for his lightning pace, cool finishing and close dribbling – making him extremely hard to stop on his way to becoming the world’s best.

However, a huge void on his list of accolades is the UEFA Champions League, something that Mbappe has come close to winning in his last two seasons at the Parc des Princes.

Losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich in 2020’s final, and 4-1 on aggregate to Manchester City in last years’ semi-final, PSG have yet to win the much-coveted trophy.

However, in a report from Spanish media outlet Marca, it appears Pogba has spoken with Mbappe and told him to move to Madrid – despite being touted as a future PSG team-mate in the future.

The report states that Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema would be fundamental in tempting Mbappe to play alongside him for the Spanish giants; and additionally, Pogba has been another of those to have put the thoughts of Madrid more in his mind than PSG.

And with Real having failed to properly replace Cristiano Ronaldo since his £88m move to Juventus in 2018, they see Mbappe as their next star Galactico.

Pogba only has one year left on his Manchester United contract after joining in 2016 for £89m.

Yet, having only won a League Cup and a Europa League in his time at Old Trafford, Pogba has been linked with a move to Paris next summer on a free.

The move to Madrid would make Mbappe both the second and third-most expensive player of all time, with current PSG team-mate Neymar topping the list at an extortionate £198m for his services.

And PSG will look to continue their stellar form of three wins in three away at Reims on Sunday.
