Manchester United reach agreement in principle with Odysseas Vlachodimos: Manchester United have reached a verbal agreement with Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos over a move to Old Trafford. The deal is still subject to a medical and final negotiations, but it is believed that United will pay around €15 million for the 29-year-old Greek international.

Vlachodimos is seen as a backup goalkeeper to Andre Onana, who joined United from Inter Milan in a €55 million deal this summer. Dean Henderson is expected to leave United this summer, and Vlachodimos would provide cover for Onana.

Vlachodimos has been with Benfica since 2018, and he has made over 100 appearances for the club. He is a tall and athletic goalkeeper with good reflexes, and he is known for his ability to command his area.

If the deal goes through, Vlachodimos will become United’s third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen.
