Nigerian international midfielder Alex Iwobi will be starting a Premier League match on the bench for the 77th time when Everton visit Old Trafford tonight to face Manchester United.
The Super Eagles star was named among the substitutes by Toffees gaffer Carlo Ancelotti who is bidding to become the second manager after Jose Mourinho to win at Old Trafford with three different clubs.
This will also be the seventh time Iwobi would be starting from the bench against Manchester United. Prior to tonight’s game,he was subbed on three times to make a total of eight appearances against the Red Devil.
Overall, Iwobi has been subbed on on 43 ocassions while he was left as an unused substitute 33 times prior to tonight’s game.
This term the Nigerian has made 18 appearances for the Toffees, starting 11 of the games. He has scored once and provided two assists.
Overall he has made 143 appearances since he made his debut in the competition in October 2015,scoring 13 times and providing 18 assists.
