MBAPPE: ‘I’M NOT STUPID’ … PSG Star Won’t Decide Future Based On Just One Game

Kylian Mbappe stole the show at the Camp Nou on Tuesday, scoring a hat-trick as Paris Saint-Germain claimed a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Barcelona.

PSG are now well placed to progress to the quarter-finals, but Mbappe’s future at the club is no closer to being resolved.

“The PSG shirt is one that I appreciate and it’s in my heart,” Mbappe said after the game.

“It would be stupid to decide my future after one game.

“It’s something to reflect on in the long term.

“I’ve always said that I’m happy in Paris and matches like this one make you happy.”

Speaking about the game itself, the 22-year-old was understandably delighted.

“We wanted to come here and win,” Mbappe said.

“That’s what we’ve done and we did it very well.

“A game like this is great, but we haven’t done anything yet.”

The forward has come in for criticism at times this season, but he insists that he doesn’t concern himself with it.

“You shouldn’t take it personally,” Mbappe added.

“The greatest players in history have been criticised, it’s not a problem.

“I don’t play to shut people’s mouths, but to help the team and to enjoy myself.”
