Moses Simon is a quality player, according to FC Nantes boss, Antoine Kombouare.
Kombouare has equally urged the Nigerian forward to be more confident as they battle relegation.
Nantes will aim to take another step towards safety in the French Ligue 1 this weekend.
And that is when they travel to the Stade Francis-Le Ble to take on local rivals, Brest today.
Nantes beat Strasbourg 2-1 last weekend with the winning goal coming from Ludovic Blas from Simon’s assist.
And that very win helped to boost Les Canaris’ survival hopes.
Nantes manager, Kombouare believes they can escape relegation with the help of forward, Simon.
“In times of scarcity with players who are experiencing difficulties, we must make certain boys understand that they are capable of helping us,” he said at his match presser.
“We must make Coulibaly understand, Simon, Kolo Muani that they are quality players who simply lack confidence,” the coach said.
“They must be involved in the offensive actions and must be effective if we want to keep up.”
Simon has scored five goals and made two assists in 29 Ligue 1 games this season.
