Shkodran Mustafi won WhoScored’s Bundesliga Player of the Week award for his performance at the weekend, keeping a clean sheet.
WhoScored announced on Tuesday morning that Shkodran Mustafi was their Bundesliga Player of the Week. They highlighted his clean sheet, 10 of 12 aerial duels won, eight clearances, and three interceptions from his individual performance on Saturday.
Schalke drew the match 0-0 with Union Berlin, so it wasn’t a perfect day for the former Arsenal man. But it was their first clean sheet in six games.
Mustafi featured only times for Arsenal in all competitions before sealing a move back to his homeland. He started all five Europa League games and subbed on in all three Premier League games he played.
Overall,Mustafi he made 102 appearances in the Premier League, scoring seven times and provided four assists. In the FA he featured eight times,starting seven of the games while in the League Cup,he also made eight appearances,starting all eight matches.
